The Company was born in the 1956 after its constitution of the
Cordioli & Carteri, c/o the Chamber of Commerce in Verona.
At the beginning the business was the prefabs for factory sheds
and installations connected to the sheep breeding and zootechnics
and their equipments.
In the 1968 the Company became the Cordioli & C. s.a.s.
with new partners.
The core business was still the zootechnical and poultry farming
prefabs, but started also the business of industrial building
constructions, thank to the expansion of the iron and steel
market, sporting complexes, building trade structures.
In the 1974 the Company became a S.p.a., and started a expansion
stage in industrial / civil building market, with strong investments
in the broadening and modernization of the generation stations.
The Company started to build great structures.
During
the 70th the Company built some great works as the PIETRA Steelworks,
the VALSUGANA Steelworks, another big factory sheds, a Sigonella
Hangar for NATO and the DALMINE Steelworks in Bergamo.
At this point there will be a raising of the technical, organizational
and technological level affecting all the business activities
(project engineering, building and fabrication) and, at the
beginning of the 80th the Company built the first roadway bridges
with complex methods of launching and, in the 1983, won important
Public Railway Agency tenders for building railway bridges.
From 80th to 90th the Company made itself known in the road
and railway market, building important works in Italy for ANAS
and AUTOSTRADE and, abroad (Tanzania, Gabon).
Developed the generation stations, the quality of the product
kept on improving. The improvement plan, started after the acquisition
from the Tosoni Group of the Company, completed in the 1999,
made the Cordioli & C. one of the most important firm in
the industrialized building trade and road railway markets.
